Hi, I’m Alex — artist, creative director, and brand designer. AWOL brings travel, place, and curiosity to life through immersive brand identities and contemporary art and design. My work has traveled the globe—from Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar to runways, TV, and stages worldwide.

About the collections
The first step in my art process is travel. I immerse myself in the sounds, colours, textures and energy of each place I visit — sketching, drawing, taking photographs and videos, collecting beach pebbles and even taking selfies with donkeys (!) along the way. I soak in all the inspiration and let it simmer. Eventually, these experiences and impressions come to life through my art. Each collection, like each place, is unique - I select and curate the mediums, colours and textures of each new artwork to best reflect the mood and vibe of each destination. The result is a personal and artful interpretation of the beautiful landscapes, moments and experiences that marked my heart.
