Whether walking, running, rollerblading or swimming, I've experienced this iconic waterfront through every season and changing weather. Meeting Point was inspired by these daily observations, celebrating the quiet poetry of everyday life, fleeting encounters and the atmosphere that makes the Côte d'Azur and the South of France so unforgettable.

Creative Process

This artwork grew from countless walks, runs and rollerblade rides along the Promenade des Anglais, where I observed the ever-changing rhythm of the waterfront and the shifting Mediterranean light over time. Using photographs, sketches and lived memories of the changing weather, wind and colour, I developed a composition that captures the crisp light, deep shadows, layered shades of Mediterranean blue and the quiet tension between movement and stillness.

The composition was first explored through charcoal sketches before being developed with multiple layers of acrylic. As a final detail, I hand-painted and collaged a plane into the sky—a subtle reference to travel, arrival and departure, and the fleeting moments that shape our experience of a place.
