Inspired by my travels to Northern Europe, Holland, Iceland and Denmark, I mixed the love of eating raw herring and sardines with my love for the simple, refined and contemporary Nordic design aesthetic. Material & Features

The minimalist wooden poster hangers are made with four magnetic wooden
dowels, two that clamp to the top of your print and two that clamp to the
bottom to give a vintage look and feel. The poster is made with heavier-weight,
200 gsm / 80 lb, white matte paper that has a natural, smooth uncoated finish
that feels luxurious to the touch.

While the poster and hangers are packed separately in one box, final
assembly is required by the end recipient. Don’t worry; it's a snap to put them
together - no expertise is required.

During my travels by the North Sea and Scandinavian destinations, I drew hundreds of fish using black ink on paper, experimenting with black and white shapes, patterns, lines, and with an extreme simplification of shapes and elements.

My artistic goal was to create simple yet impactful minimalist artworks that capture the essence of Scandinavian simplicity.

I combined the fish drawings with hand drawn patterns made of lines, waves, and abstract shapes. When I felt I reached a perfect balance of movement, dynamism, and simplified art abstraction, I transferred the original artwork and re-drew the graphic patterns using digital software, ensuring sharp lines and precise symmetry.

As a final step, I enhanced the contrasts, highlights and shadows, fine-tuning the details to ensure a crisp and high quality reproduction into a modern black and white art print.
