Creative Process

Created by hand, this NYC artwork was handcrafted using a unique combination of drawing, collage and mixed media fine art techniques. Each detail is meticulously rendered to evoke a sense of urban sophistication and contemporary art aesthetic. 

This graphic New York print uses a mix of hand illustration, painting with black ink on paper and decoupage. Working from reference sketches I made throughout my many travels to NYC, I conceived the final composition by remixing and editing the drawn and cutout components into a final collage that plays with negative and positive space, blending illustration, photography and paper shapes to arrive at this final mixed-media art collage composition.

As a final step I scanned the final artwork and digitally enhanced its contrasts and highlights, ensuring its reproduction into a rich-toned, sharp contrast premium quality, sleek and modern aluminum print for your wall decor.
