I created this sailing artwork using various fine art techniques, mediums and materials, mixing painting on paper and canvas, drawing with pastels and black ink on paper, and paper cutout collage techniques for the graphic shapes. I wanted to simplify the intricate beauty of the Mediterranean seaside into a mix of simple blue tones, textures and bright colours - conveying a mood and a feeling rather than a literal representation of these beautiful destinations.

I photographed the original large canvas artwork and enhanced the colours, contrasts and highlights, fine-tuning the details and preparing this modern landscape artwork to be digitally reproduced into a high quality travel art print where the colours are rich, vibrant, and long-lasting, ensuring that this colourful nautical art print remains as stunning as the day you first hung it up. The perfect option to stand the test of time.
