Creative Process

I created the original artwork using various fine art techniques, mediums and materials, mixing painting on paper and canvas, drawing with pastels and black ink on paper, and paper cutout collage techniques. I wanted to simplify the intricate beauty of the Mediterranean essence into a mix of simple graphic shapes, textures and bright colours - conveying a mood and a feeling rather than a literal representation of these beautiful landscapes.

I photographed the original large canvas artwork and enhanced the colours, contrasts and highlights, fine-tuning the details and preparing this modern landscape artwork to be digitally reproduced into a high quality travel poster print where the colours are rich, vibrant, and long-lasting, ensuring that this framed art print remains as stunning as the day you first hung it up.
