Inspirations

This black and white illustration is rooted in two journeys to Rome, taken twenty years apart. What stayed with me from both visits was the sensation of walking through layers of time—moving through a modern city that still carries the weight and wonder of Ancient Rome in its stones. In this drawing, I set out to capture that contrast: the rhythm of everyday life—locals, tourists, Romans in motion—framed by a skyline shaped by centuries. At its heart stands one of the world’s most iconic landmarks, the Colosseum, timeless and ever-present in the background of a living, breathing city.
