At the heart of this abstract landscape art print lies inspiration drawn from hundreds of hikes, coastal walks and explorations to "off the beaten track" landscapes and regions I sought out during my travels in southern Europe: meandering along seaside cliffs, tracing the rugged coastlines and rock formations of South of France (Marseille, Cassis, Esterel, The French Riviera), Spain, Italy, Sicily, Corsica, the Canary Islands, and the Mediterranean shorelines... to name just a few.

Creative Process

This large minimalist framed poster print with organic abstract shapes was originally handcrafted through a meticulous fusion of mixed media art and design techniques: paper cutouts, painting on paper and painting on canvas, collage, and the use of positive and negative shapes, experimenting with composition and placement until a perfect tension was reached in the overall balance of shapes and textures.

I photographed the final large abstract artwork, edited it digitally, fine-tuned details and prepared it for print in a way that the textures and layers of its dynamic visual tapestry would translate well into a large art print that is ready to hang.
