In this colourful artwork, I weaved together inspiration from many of my travels around the world: coastal cities, beaches, jungles, seascapes and fond memories of my travels under the sun.

Creative Process

For this tropical beach art print, I collected various artworks that I created from my travels around beautiful seaside destinations all over the world, in varying mediums and techniques: from oil paintings to acrylic and watercolour paintings, graphic marker and ink drawings and photography prints inspired by some of my favourite sunny destinations.

Using scissors, exacto knives and decoupage techniques, I deconstructed the original artworks and created a mixed media collage composed of fragments of these colourful pieces, assembling, constructing and deconstructing the composition on large paper.

I experimented with scale, contrast and the juxtaposition of textures, until I landed on this final composition. I sealed the final mixed media collage art with a satin finish.

I photographed the final graphic collage and digitally enhanced the colour vibrancy, contrasts, highlights and sharpness, ensuring the original artwork could be reproduced into a premium quality wall art print for your wall decor.
