Ronda was one of those places that completely took me by surprise. We stopped there on a road trip through Andalucía, expecting a quick visit, but instead, I found myself completely enchanted by its light, history, and effortless elegance. As we wandered through its winding streets, the town revealed itself in layers—whitewashed walls, dramatic cliffs, and an atmosphere steeped in tradition.

On our way out, I caught sight of the bullfighter statue standing proudly outside the Plaza de Toros. Something about it stopped me in my tracks. The way the sculpted bronze seemed to ripple as if caught in an invisible breeze, the contrast between its heavy solidity and the delicate movement it captured—it was mesmerizing. Against the backdrop of the bullring’s minimalist, curved white facade, the composition felt almost surreal. Strength and grace, past and present, tradition and art—all fused into a single moment.

I had to capture that feeling. This graphic drawing is my tribute to this moment, to the striking forms, light and textures that made it so striking. The monochrome style allowed me to focus on contrast and movement, mirroring the play of light and shadow that I found so powerful that day.
