Inspirations

I have spent much time travelling, living on, and discovering the Côte d’Azur. I’ve done it on foot, by car, boat, and stand-up paddle board. The best views of this incredible region in the South of France, are in my opinion, arriving by water, where you can truly take in all the colours, sky, and mountains from a worm’s eye view – and from the sky above: by airplane, hiking or taking scenic drives on the trails up high, where you feel the full expanse of the blue sea and beautiful hills below you as little ports, towns and beaches reveal themselves along the Mediterranean coastlines.

This colourful coastal artwork is my ode to the beauty of this paradise France region, and a fusion of many viewpoints and approaches.

Creative Process

I created this South of France landscape art print using a variety of fine art and mixed media techniques: oil and traditional pastels, painting, coloured pencil, acrylic paint on canvas, collage, pen and ink. After finishing the original mixed media artwork on canvas, I photographed the large canvas art, and digitally enhanced the contrasts, colour saturation, details and highlights, ensuring a high quality art print on aluminum.
