Creative Process

Handcrafted using a unique combination of drawing, collage and mixed media art techniques, each detail is meticulously rendered to evoke a sense of urban sophistication and a contemporary design aesthetic. 

This graphic New York print uses a mix of hand illustration, painting in black ink on paper and paper decoupage.

Working from reference sketches I made throughout my many travels to NYC, I conceived the final composition by remixing and editing the drawn and cutout components into a final collage that plays with negative and positive space, blending illustration, photography and paper shapes to arrive at this final mixed-media art collage composition.

As a final step I scanned it and digitally enhanced the contrasts and highlights, ensuring its reproduction into a rich-toned, sharp contrast premium quality New York wooden framed art print that is ready to hang on your wall decor.
